! Due to the sensitive nature of several elements of Drakengard 3 and Zero herself, if you would like to opt out of certain topics of a disturbing nature or opt out of interaction with her entirely, that is more than understandable.
Potentially triggering/disturbing content that may or may not come up with Zero includes: child neglect/abandonment, prostitution, wanton violence/mass murder, suicidal ideation, god/religious slander and tasteless religious references/twisted religious practice.
Her foul language on the other hand isn't so much a potential as something that's bound to crop up in unique ways.
While she isn't one to explain such things to minors, bizzare and kinky sexual talk is also very likely with her. For example, she may say fetish dungeon in front of a younger character, but she... she at least won't tell them what it means...

Character Information
Name: Zero (formerly Rose)
Canon: Drakengard 3
Canon Point:
Age: 19 years old
History: from the Drakengard wiki
Personality: Zero is unique individual, recognizable for her blunt way of speaking and general disregard for just how others seem to perceive her. She has a foul mouth that goes anywhere from curse words to talking about fetish dungeons and grown men pissing themselves in fear as she approaches. From a young age, she understood a harsh reality that no kid should have to face. Her mother didn't want her and thus sold her to a brothel. And every day since she knew that the world had never really had a place for her. There was never a "home" or a place she belonged. Friends betrayed her, lovers betrayed her... eventually it became far simpler to live alone. She put up walls around her heart, and took on a hostility and brutal nature that would separate herself from others.
But even now Zero doesn't completely hate the world. But that likely stems from the fact that so early on she understands that she just didn't have a place in it. That's not really the world's fault. Without a source to really place her frustration, it just kind of festers without anywhere to go; responsible in part for her foul attitude and lack of self worth. In her final moments she admits that her death was something she had always looked forward to.
But it's not all bad. Despite her deadly goals, she can still enjoy witty banter from time to time with her sisters. A lot of it is her being a smart-ass, but it does show a glimmer of a sense of humor-- even if it's not by any means light-hearted.
As a result of her past, sex is also a casual concept to Zero, one she practices with several men of varying types and ages without seeming to have any sort of preferences or standards towards those who show an interest in her. She enjoys the act in it's rawness, but often leaves her partner to do most of the work as a result of her own personal lazy nature. There are times that she takes the initiative, but it's known to be rare-- and quite the event when it happens.
It's surprising, perhaps, knowing how many people she's killed but she really is a lazy person. She gripes about having to search through large areas and being forced to walk rather than fly on her dragon's back. Murder isn't an act of hate for her as a whole, it's a means to an end. Even the sisters that she seeks to kill aren't people that she hates. Despite being willing to tell it that way because she doesn't expect anyone to understand, she never hated them. Instead, she sees killing them as a responsibility, since it was indirectly her fault that they were created in the first place.
While it's no doubt that she's using the disciples she's hoarded from each of her dead sisters, it can't be said that she doesn't care for them in the slightest. Despite bitching and moaning about having to babysit idiots or getting annoyed by some of their more pointless banter, the truth is that she doesn't mind having them around in general. And while she refuses to get attached to the point that she's not ready to kill them if they get in her way, she grows a certain amount of fondness for them; and is grateful for their help and ultimately their sacrifices, something she does feel guilt and sorrow for in her own way.
She does get angry about certain things-- genuinely angry, as opposed to her normal cool, cruel nature. After her airship she just took from Four was destroyed, she showed a desire to make the people pay for it. Although ultimately she was probably just mad that it meant she was back to wandering the wild for her sisters without a tool that would have allowed to do it in comfort and with a lot less effort. But she lets out her frustration with violence (violence she would have partaken in anyway, but now with an added vengeance) and moves on. She also hates tedious things-- like platforming (you know, that part of video games where blocks are moving and you have to time your jumps carefully and often wait for the optimal position?). She complains about how she hates it. That's because she's an impatient person. Ideally she'd just like to get in, get it done, and get the heck back out.
There are instances where she's willing to act in order to fool her opponents. She kills Four by tricking her into believing that she'd "changed personalities" to match the sweet version of Zero that was in Four's memories. It's well played and cunning, although she doesn't take any joy in it, and only uses it in as long as playing sweet will get her some useful information or get her close to her enemy.
Zero also happens to hate filth. She's always scolding the dragon Mikhail for rolling in mud and having a terrible stink about him. If you're going to be near her, she does have expectations that you're going to be a tolerable cleanliness. That goes double if you're sleeping with her. In battle though, this does not apply to blood- that she's used to, whether she likes it or not.
Abilities & Skills: Zero is an Intoner; a creature worshiped as a holy songstress-- a being who's power seemingly lies in music and is treated as a goddess. Although the sounds that they emit prior to unleashing their magic is more of a powerful single note that's power pierces and vibrates through the area.
The primary use of Zero's Intoner magic that she exhibits is a berserker state that she can enter in battle where her speed and attack increases exponentially. She attacks in a beastly fashion. There is a time limit however. She can only enter that state for a short period of time. Being attacked and attacking allows her to refill the gauge.
Her battle skills outside of her magic are her greatest asset, however. She is capable of using four different type of weapons-- swords, spears, combat bracers and chakram; each which have their own unique styles and advantages in battle. The sword is her own, and the signature weapon she's most used to fighting with; while the other three are gifts from the disciples that she stole from her dead sisters.
But while she has the power to use all of these weapons, it's more fitting to say that she uses her own strength and basic knowledge to wield them. She does not have any proper tutelage, nor was she ever taught any sort of formal style with the weapons. It's more of a brute force strength that's been honed over time by repeated use.
Inventory/Companions: Zero's Blade (Sword), Twisted Hunger (Spear), Masochistic Joy (Combat Bracer), Everlasting Ring (Chakram)
Choice: Monster. Dragon first, Vampire second.
Reason: I cannot think of any monster more fitting for Zero than dragon. With her intensity, world-worn hostile shell of an exterior, and her own connection to hoarding throughout her life-- Zero is very much like the dragons that she's actually spent a lot of her time as an Intoner standing next to.
Like dragons, Intoners are rare, powerful beings, revered by mankind. Zero in particular inspires fear amongst the masses, for being incredibly ruthless and strong even amongst her fellow Intoners. If you ask her it's not so much a case of being better than humans-- but still on a very real level, being impossibly different in a way that makes it possible for the two races to have a "normal" relationship. She sees the two being at odds. After all, what the flower that made her an Intoner wants is the destruction of mankind. So whether humans see it or not, it's really an antagonistic relationship; but one where humans still find themselves in awe and willing to praise the Intoners.
In Zero's wake she leaves a path of destruction so wide that no one could miss it-- that is if anyone is alive to see it anyway. You get in her way, she cuts you down. Simple as that. It's not out of hate (though she does have her anger issues) it's more about asserting dominance and removing obstacles. She's not hateful but she is angry. Very angry and very focused on her goals. And her Intoner's power includes a state that's very much a berserker mode that's far more beast than anything else. Weapons are foregone for the sake of simply slashing and clawing at anything and everything before her.
She also has her own natural and yet... unique... "hoarding instinct" so to speak. With each of her sisters she kills, she takes their disciples and makes them her own. A sort of harem hoard you might say. But that also goes for their belongings too-- everything from taking the weapons of her newly claimed disciples to airships... she kills and then she takes. She's learned by being burnt several times to take only what she needs or sees a use for and yet she takes these men anyway, despite the fact that these particular individuals are quite the handful-- not immediately helpful by any means. They're good enough to sleep with though. And that's important I guess.
The reasoning behind her backup of vampire is related to her connection to blood-- or more specifically the wanton spilling of it everywhere; which usually leaves her white outfit died red. But there is also her personal goals of seeking death once all her sisters are dead to keep in mind. Technically she "died" a long time ago, back when she was human. And everything since has sort of been an undead life for her-- kept alive by a parasite when she'd rather not.

the murderous, traitor Intoner
history
This is a story of six "sisters"...
"Rose" is not her name. If she ever had one, she doesn't know what it was. She was an undesired child, one subjected to the violence of a mother she couldn't bring herself to blame because she'd already accepted that she had no place in that home. It wouldn't last either, and she would be sold as a child into prostitution.
There she met others like her. People without names. People without pasts. Those who were burdens and unwanted in this world. In time she would try to place her trust in them-- in "Indigo", who like her answered to the color of her eyes. But she was betrayed when they planned their escape. By Indigo and man she recognized as one of Indigo's regular customers. She was just a means to get more gold out of the brothel for the two of them. Beyond that, she was simply in the way. They meant to kill her.
People from the Brothel however recaptured her. And this time she found herself with a very different plan. Kill them all. She took as much money as she could-- but learned that the best way to survive would be taking only what she needed.
Left wandering alone in a city, she encountered a familiar man. While she didn't remember him, he seemed to remember her. He was a former patron of the brothel. While she thought to kill him, she found that she could not. Rather, for a time, she accepted a life with him. They lived in the same house in relative peace until the day she contracted a deadly and highly contagious illness. The man meant to abandon her, but not without attempting to sell her off first.
This time, she felt no hesitation. She cut his head of, and began wandering again.
As her illness worsened, she became weaker and weaker until she was captured. Placed in a cell with five other women, she watched as each of them were horrifically tortured and killed one by one. She never experienced that, for her illness caught up with her first. But as she died, her eyes fell upon a beautiful pink flower growing from the ground.
The flower revived her; taking root inside of her body. It made her into what is now known as an Intoner. It had only one purpose for using her and that was to further it's ambitions of destroying humanity. Having no intention of being used by it, she tried to commit suicide. But rather than dying, her power was split into pieces-- five additional pieces, each given their own forms and Intoner powers.
It was her fault that her "sisters" were created. And that's why it's her duty...
To kill them.
She is the source, the empty shell from which they were created. That is why she is "Zero".

personality
Zero's sisters reflect pieces of Zero herself. And the disdain and hatred she pushes upon them is a reflection of the self-loathing she practices. She bears an intense hatred for the world that gave birth to her and yet never once seemed to have a place for her in it. She bears a grudge as deep as the scars she carries from years of abuse and emotional torture.
She abuses her body in battle; pushing herself to the point where losing a limb is an acceptable loss if it might give her an advantage. It's not always so strategic though. Blinded by her goal, there are times when she thinks things through only in black and white. She "must" kill her sisters, so she fights. It's not "can" she kill them. There's no room for doubt, only results. Which works about as well as you'd think in reality.
Yet she masks it behind a haughty demeanor that seems keen to create distance between herself and others.
And violence. Her rage bubbles to the top and spills over. It doesn't matter if it's men, women or children-- if they get in her way then she'll kill them without batting an eyelash. Apathy and bitterness fill the space of what was once naivety and acceptance. They're better suited to supporting her in her pursuit of her goals.
Despite how inflamed she seems in battle, she actually has a rather lazy side as well.
Placing her trust in others has resulted in nothing but trouble. Pain, disappointment, hardships... Rather than trust people, now she only has the intention to make use of them. After all, she expects they only intend to do the same, and that's fine with her. Partnerships of convenience and mutual benefit suit her just fine. If they have a problem with that then they can just get lost or die.
It's not as though they mean nothing to her. The honesty of their relationship means she can appreciate them in a way that's not exactly friendly but it's not without it's merits. If they do something for her at their own expense, she's very aware of it. But she never lets herself get so attached that she's not ready to punish them should they betray her. There's no mercy for something like that.
